About the Coach
Welcome to my website! My name is Jackson Thigpen and my passion is people. I am a certified Professional Life Coach by the Professional Christian Coaching and Counseling Academy. My professional background has enabled me to specialize in a few different areas. First, I help others identify their passions and translate that into income. According to a survey conducted by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), 81% of Americans are not happy with their current job.
Considering that we spend the majority of our waking hours working I believe it should be something that you not only enjoy, but are EXCITED about doing! With my career-coaching program I help my clients leverage themselves to do just that. Second, I have a passion for young adults, helping them to find direction for their life after high school. The majority of young people graduating high school have no idea what to do with their life now that they are “on their own”. My Young Adult Prep program helps them set goals for their life, learn basic financing, and choose the right college and major to attain direction in a career field that they are excited about doing.
Third, I specialize in relationships. This involves but is not limited to conflict resolution, couples goal setting, and even restarting the fire!!! All people communicate their love for others in different ways and sometimes it is as simple as learning the other person’s “Love Language”. Other times, it is an issue of properly managing each others expectations. My objective is to help people better understand themselves and pursue their passions. No matter if it is your career, family, walk with God, or anything else, you will find that you come to life while you are running after your passions. I have a varied background that gives me a unique perspective on finding ones purpose and/or passion for life.
I owned a marketing company for almost 7 years where I trained others to develop their own business through sales training, recruitment training, and leadership training. I also spent several years working in professional sales for various companies trying to climb the corporate ladder only to find that my ladder was leaning against the wrong building! Have you ever been there? I spent 3 years as a recruiter and Human Resources Specialist consulting other companies on various recruiting and retention practices. All of this has been an educational process that has led me to my passion and purpose in life which is to help others identify what makes them come to life, and once they do, take action on that revelation to live the life they have always wanted. I am 29 years old and I am married to my blessing of a wife, Marie. We live in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and have a baby on the way in November. We enjoy traveling to exotic locales and learning about other cultures. So far we have been to Hawaii, Mexico, The Bahamas, and a few places within the United States. With a baby on the way we will have to exhibit a little delayed gratification in terms of travel, but will happily resume when the little tyke is old enough to accompany us. We also enjoy ballroom dancing and Latin dancing. My wife is the international Latin Ballroom Dance Champion for Fred Astaire as an amateur!! I know….that’s HOT!! ☺ Life with my wife is an adventure and I can’t imagine taking this journey with anyone else!
